Founded in 1996, TRB Chemedica AG Germany is part of the TRB Chemedica Group, which employs over 1,000 people worldwide. The company manufactures and distributes high-quality pharmaceutical products in the fields of ophthalmology and orthopedics. “The challenge at TRB lies in the extensive range of tasks and the complex infrastructure,” explains Toni Mitreski, Head of IT Infrastructure & Datacenter at Microstaxx. “Our assignment includes many different tasks covering the entire spectrum of IT.” Among other things, Microstaxx is responsible for data storage, regular system maintenance and hardware and software updates, as well as setting up and ensuring the secure operation of devices for new employees in the office and working remotely. Microstaxx also provides a hotline and weekly on-site service for the approximately 90 employees in Munich, where IT specialists are available to assist in person.
“TRB’s trust in Microstaxx, which we have to live up to every day, also includes comprehensive cybersecurity and even continuous planning of the IT budget based on current requirements, product training for employees, and support during IT audits,” says Mitreski.

This requirement also means that Microstaxx has to constantly develop its systems. “Especially when it comes to security issues such as data backup and email security, which we have taken to a new level with a sandbox solution, we as a service provider have to keep our finger on the pulse,” explains Mitreski. “This applies to the system side with ongoing updates and maintenance of all systems, as well as to the expertise of TRB employees, whom we train regularly.”
No wonder Microstaxx attaches such importance to this, because high system availability is extremely important for TRB, as customer and product data must be constantly accessible. Classic monitoring and documentation are therefore also part of Microstaxx’s tasks.
TRB CEO Hans Kalkbrenner: “Microstaxx is always at the cutting edge of technology and offers us an extremely high level of security and service in our day-to-day business as well as in planning and consulting. I also have the impression that we are very well positioned in terms of cyber security. Attacks are detected immediately and Microstaxx always responds quickly and professionally.” But there is another aspect that is important to TRB, as Kalkbrenner emphasizes: “What I particularly like is that we know the people who look after us. Right at the beginning, Microstaxx introduced themselves to us in person at our premises with the team responsible for us. There is no ticket system that routes us to an anonymous call center, but rather qualified employees who know us, identify with us, and are highly committed to us. In short, we feel very well taken care of at Microstaxx.”
